Roger has always believed that the best adventures don't have to be rushed, and he's happiest exploring Britain's beautiful countryside one train journey at a time.
On one of his railway adventures, while waiting for an old steam train at a tiny country station, Roger met Joanna. She was travelling alone, collecting sketches and stories from villages, mountains and coastlines for her little journal. Since that day, they've travelled everywhere together.
They love wandering through rolling hills, following winding footpaths, stopping to watch sheep grazing in distant fields, and finding cosy pubs with crackling fires where they can warm their paws after a long walk. Neither is in much of a hurry, and both agree that the journey is usually far more exciting than the destination.
Roger is practical, cheerful and always prepared. His rucksack somehow contains everything they could possibly need.
Joanna is quietly adventurous. She notices all the little things that Roger sometimes walks straight past: wildflowers growing through stone walls, curious birds perched on old gateposts, hidden waterfalls, and spectacular views that deserve an extra five minutes of sitting and simply taking it all in.
Together they make the perfect travelling companions. And wherever they travel, they always make time for a cup of tea, a slice of homemade cake and a friendly chat with anyone they meet along the way.
Because for Roger and Joanna, every journey is happier when it's shared.
